“Come and see a man who told me everything I ever did! Could he possibly be the Messiah?” So, the people came streaming from the village to see Him.”
►Recognizing Historical Injustices: I am committed to evolving and actively supporting women's rights, empowering them, and creating a more equitable world. My philosophy is rooted in empathy, understanding, and a deep appreciation for the diverse experiences and perspectives of women.
►Reflecting on Privilege: I acknowledge the privilege that I hold as a man and the responsibility that comes with it.
►Apologizing for Silence and Inaction: I recognize that it is not enough to simply be non-oppressive; I must be actively anti-oppressive and challenge the systems of inequality that perpetuate gender-based discrimination.
►Committing to Change: I engage in self-reflection and actively work to unlearn these harmful patterns, challenging the traditional notions of masculinity that restrict the full expression of human potential.
► This message encourages discovering stories about the women in our families to help us better understand their lives, the challenges they faced, and ultimately, ourselves and our times.
► Recognizing the dignity and accomplishments of women leads to higher self-esteem among girls and greater respect among boys and men.
►Seeing and treating women with equity can be remarkable and should promote less violence against women.
► We can gain strength and inspiration from those women who came before us – and those remarkable women working among us today.
► Women are part of our story, and a truly balanced and inclusive history recognizes how important women have always been.
► Women should not be included as a mere token. They deserve more than token representation; they are designed, called, and gifted as a necessary part of God’s plan.
►God, we thank You for our growing awareness of and sensitivity to women's issues—their dignity, needs, and rights.
►In a world where women are often marginalized and viewed as weak or unnecessary, let us celebrate the truth that they are made in the image of God.
