Recognizing that holidays can intensify feelings of grief, the session emphasizes culturally sensitive approaches, emotional resilience, and spiritual care.

Topics include What Does It Mean to Be Daze; Understanding Grief; Navigating Dying and the End-of-Life Encounters; Honoring Loved Ones and Creating Meanings; Practical Coping Strategies and Self-Care.

Too often in many African American Churches, especially rural ones, topics such as mental health, medical decision-making, and end-of-life planning are rarely discussed. “Living Well, Leaving Well: Health, Healing, and Legacy in That Order” opens the door to this discussion. This workshop presentation provides access, awareness, and preparation to save lives and legacies.

Discussions will be offered around Telehealth, which bridges the gap by offering affordable 24/7 access to licensed doctors, therapists, and specialists ; Mental Health, its disparities and responsive care;  Legacy, Estate planning, Living Wills, Advance Directives.
