Greetings,

As we prepare for the upcoming workweek and gather for Thanksgiving, let’s take a moment to express gratitude for our blessings and the opportunity to serve our community.

It's important to acknowledge both our gifts and the challenges we face. A video is included for your consideration. This video, though troubling, motivates us to work towards positive change. It reminds us of our mission at The Tabernacle of Glory Church—to use our resources to alleviate suffering and promote well-being.

In the video, you will notice that some individuals justify harmful behavior in the name of "saving souls." Still, the true essence of the soul encompasses our emotions and feelings, which are often overlooked. It highlights how people can be tone-deaf, rationalizing actions that contradict Jesus' teachings.

Being tone-deaf, in a social context, means lacking sensitivity to the emotional dynamics of a situation. This can manifest as inappropriate comments or a failure to recognize the feelings of others, often leading to misunderstandings and unintentional offense.

As we prepare for Thanksgiving, consider whether you are exhibiting any behaviors that could impact others in a way that is not gracious, whether they are children or adults. The links I've included below can help guide us toward solutions.

For those of us who have been praying for God to change something regarding our relationships, the answers may be found in the link resources shared. Take a moment to reflect on what God might be calling you to be, do, or change. We will not have Bible study this Wednesday.

Wishing you a thoughtful and meaningful Thanksgiving.

Dr. William V. Green, Pastor
